Art is everywhere—even in food, on walls, and along the shores. That’s why it’s important to expand spaces where artists can explore and be themselves. Just imagine the possibilities when creativity is free—no rules, no restrictions.

As part of their commitment to supporting creatives, Herschel Philippines recently wrapped up a three-day Herschel Community Huddle in La Union, Philippines. This is the third installment of their Creative Crawl Series, an interactive gathering of local creatives in spaces where they are empowered to express themselves freely, dive into their creative explorations, and build meaningful connections.

Held in partnership with The Travel Club, the event offered a comprehensive 360-degree experience and immersed participants in sustainable travel initiatives and interactive activities celebrating art. It also marked the launch of Herschel's new campaign, "Where Creatives Run Free."

The event kicked off on the first day with participants learning how to make their own smoothie bowls at Seabuds La Union, a beachfront café that serves vegan food.
On the second day, the crawl moved to the town of Bauang for a Found Objects Art Workshop led by mixed media artist Revelie Bueno. The workshop took place at Ciano Umok Gallery, a supportive haven for young and local artists in La Union. The creatives also had the chance to savor local delicacies, including a unique take on Halo-Halo and Pansit Iloko.

Day two culminated with a collaborative mural project featuring local artists from ANG GERILYA, AGLAUN, Gameng LUCIA, and DALIKAN, with support from Ms. Darlene of the Culture and Arts Office of the Governor's Office of La Union.

In an Instagram post, illustrator Ross Du, one of the creatives who participated in the event, expressed her gratitude, "Had such a good time at the Herschel x The Travel Club Community Huddle in [La Union]. So thankful I get to be part of this ever-growing community of creatives—one that supports exploration and intentionality."

The three-day event concluded with a scenic photoshoot in San Fernando, capturing La Union's famous sunset as the backdrop. Before heading home, the crawl had a stopover at Putik Friends Pottery Studio and Café to visit fellow creatives and enjoy a hearty meal from Masa Bakehouse.

Herschel x The Travel Club Community Huddle Series is proof that the spirit of creativity knows no bounds. The “Where Creatives Run Free” campaign supports and celebrates the diverse voices that shape our cultural landscape. And with Herschel leading the way, the future looks brighter than ever for creatives around the globe.
